A scorer of one of the goals in the 0-2 win for Valencia CF against Elche, Samuel Lino spoke to VCF Media to give his thoughts about the victory.
A huge victory
We took three very important points. We needed this victory. We thank all the fans who came to Elche to cheer on Valencia CF. Thankfully three points went our way, and we dedicate the win to the fans -who are always with us.
The importance of the fans
When we arrived here there was already a great atmosphere with all the fans. We felt their support during the whole game. We felt like we were at Mestalla. This motivates us a lot and gives us more of a boost for the game.
The way forward
Today showed our confidence and optimism. We kept a clean sheet and we scored two goals. The details went our way. We are going to continue working, fighting and pushing all week to do better and get the three points when the next game comes around.
An important goal
It had been a while since I scored and I feel very happy. I had been working hard. I had a very strong mentality and had kept very calm, because I knew that things were going to work out. Today I was able to help the team and I'm happy about that.
